SP Erasmus


In accordance with the Strategic Partnership Project “Creating international semester regarding military education needs for future officers in Europe”, Erasmus+, the programme of international semester which includes 9 common modules and intensive programme as well as supporting materials like e-books and e-learning was developed.

According to the project description the strategic goals of this initiative was defined as follows:

  • developing common program of education in the field of Essential European military officers knowledge and educational materials (Website, e-books, e-learning);
  • developing new methods of exchanging military students as a part of Erasmus+ Programmes;
  • increasing cooperation between institutions.

 

At the beginning of this year five military academies involved in strategic partnership project finished activities related to developing common program (including e-books and e-learning materials) for the international semester. All modules received status of COMMON (decision given by Implementation Group - task-oriented configuration of the European Security and Defence College’s).

Starting from 1st March 2017 military academies start testing phase of the international semester conducted via blended mobility.

 

The blended mobility used for test phase of the international semester involves e-learning and traditional parts, residential classes in direct contact in selected Partner universities.

Prior to the residential part, cadets had to pass the e-learning phase of each modules in order to participate in the classes hosted by 3 partners academies – Natioanal University of Public Service (NUPS), University of Defence (UoD) and Military Academy of Land Forces (MALF).

Testing phase consists of:

  • virtual mobility;
  • 2 one week residential meetings (hosted by NUPS and UoD);
  • two weeks intensive programme hosted by MALF.

 

First residential phase took place from 3rd April to 7th April 2017 and it was hosted by two partner institutions – National University of Public Services (Hungary) and University of Defence (Czech Republic).

At NUPS 8 cadets from UoD and 5 from MALF tested the following modules:

  • CM Basic Military English;
  • CM Cross-Cultural Communication.

During one-week mobility hosted by UoD 7 students from LFA and 5 from NUPS tested the following modules:

  • CM Comprehensive Approach;
  • CM Interoperability.

Second residential phase took place from 15th May to 19th May 2017.

At NUPS 8 cadets from UoD and 5 from MALF tested the following modules:

  • CM Cyber Security;
  • CM Electronic Warfare.

During one-week mobility hosted by UoD 7 students from LFA and 5 from NUPS were tested the following modules:

  • CM Law of Armed Conflicts;
  • CM Cultural Awareness.

Last stage of the tests is going to take place in Wroclaw from 26th June to 7th July 2017, when the most practical part of the programme – Military Leadership Module, will be tested by all cadets from the test group:

  • 13 cadets from UoD;
  • 5 cadets from MALF;
  • 7 cadets from LFA;
  • 5 cadets from NUPS;
  • additionaly 5 cateds from TMA.

Classes will be conducted by military teachers and instructors mainly from 5 military academies.
