Our school

University of Charleston and General Tadeusz Kosciuszko Military Academy of Land Forces (MALF) concluded a cooperation agreement. From Polish side the document was signed by Rector-Commandant Brig. Gen. Dariusz Skorupka, D.Sc. Assoc. Prof. during his working visit in Charleston. Cooperation with the American university will include the exchange of cadets and teaching staff, joint research projects as well as scientific publications.

During the visit Rector-Commandant gave a lecture for doctoral students of leadership studies. Meeting with PhD students also included discussion on the challenges of the contemporary process of preparation of commanders. Both, the speech and the discussion, met with a great interest of students and lecturers from the University.

Polish delegation (including Maj Marcin Bielewicz, PhD, Vice-Dean for Military Affairs in the Faculty of Management) also met with the Commander of the West Virginia National Guard Maj.Gen. James Hoyer and Senators Ed Gaunch and Mitch Carmichael. It was an opportunity to exchange experience on civil-military cooperation, specialized training of ROTC cadets and cooperation with universities. General Hoyer was familiarized with the process of preparation of Polish officers and international cooperation of MALF.

Our academy is increasing its involvement in the multi-dimensional cooperation with partners in Europe and USA, i.a. within bilateral agreements.
